First off, the globals section of the Variables display only displays
the globals that you have enabled in the Globals window. Many programs
have lots & lots of globals, and displaying them all is not terribly
useful. So you are supposed to go the Tools->Globals, find the globals
you want to view & check the view checkbutton.
This is documented in the help page on Viewing Variables and
Expressions.
If you still can't see the grid array after you have enabled it, then
if you could file a bug with a sample that shows the problem, that
would be great...
Actually, if you can make a test case where entering "grid" in the
expressions window doesn't work, then that would also be helpful. It
works for me in the little test case I just whipped up with a toy
class, and grid defined as you give below.
Also, if there are global (i.e. exported variables) showing up in the
File Statics turndown, then that is a bug. Again, if you can make a
little sample that shows what you are seeing, and file a bug, that
would be helpful.

Newly updated to Xcode 1.5, these old problems are unchanged:
I have a global variable grid:
Cella grid[Size][Size];
where Cella is a C++ class, and Size is:
Macro: #define Size 18 /* max size (in cells) of maze */
Now, if in the Expressions window I enter grid, it says <unknown type>
and if I enter grid[1][1] it says "out of scope"
This is obnoxious. Can I fix it?
BTW, nothing is listed in the Globals section of the variable window;
most of my globals are listed (in chaotic order) incorrectly under
File Statics, but grid isn't.
