Xcode works fine if I just stick that line in a trivial program...
Note that Xcode does have a data formatter for NSDate, maybe running
the data formatter is causing problems? You could try turning the data
formatters off (in the Debug menu, under Variables View in Tiger) and
see if you still get the problem.
Anyway, please do file a bug, but include a pointer to the code you are
using, a simplified test case, or whatever, 'cause I can't reproduce it
in a simple case.

Am I doing something wrong or should I submit a question to
