linking with a PEF stub library

  • Subject: linking with a PEF stub library

I'm trying to build a Carbon application in Xcode 1.2 that calls a C function in a PEF shared library. I added the associated PEF stub library to the project as an External Framework but when I build the application in deployment mode, it fails because it cannot find that C function implemented by the PEF shared library. The library is provided by a third party that does not provide an equivalent dyld library. How do I make this work?

Is there a tool I can use to view the contents of PEF libraries under OS X? I did a "strings" on the stub library and it returns the name of the C function I'm trying to call although it's immediately preceded by "__som_check_new__som_check_ev".
