FWIW - The XCode debugger DOES work. If the breakpoints are not happening for you, what about checking the 'include debug symbols' setting in both the project and target info panels?

Also - I agree with the 'Trash the mode1 file and lots of things can get better' remarks.

In the 'A word to the wise should be deficient' category: When folks write to the list with an angry attitude and disparaging remarks, it's far less likely they're going to get help - plus you get identified as being 'one of those angry people who makes disparaging remarks'.
