On some keyboards you have to use an option-key combination to insert a '{'. Unfortunately, that defeats the feature. But, there's a hack, err, workaround. Go to the text key bindings in the prefs and look for the "Insert Open Brace". Type in your key combination for '{', and you should be set.

Somehow, the Auto-insert "}" option in Preferences --> Indentation has never worked for me; not with ProjectBuilder, neither with Xcode. I have enabled it, but no } is inserted. Are there any dependencies between indentation options which I have to consider to get it working?
