Hi,
I've imported a rather big WO project with several hundred of files
(localized in 3 languages) to subversion repository. After this
operation it takes almost 30 seconds to open the project in Xcode 1.5
on a G5 2x2GHz, before it was quite fast or at least normal. I tried
to activate the svn support in Xcode to see whether it's faster or
not... but doesn't change.
Any idea why it's soooo slowwwww?
Is Subversion slow for you from the command line, in Xcode, or both?
Your message title implies that it's slow in Xcode but your message
body implies it's the same speed as the command line.
Note: I don't use the SCM capabilities of Xcode but instead the cli
commands because my experiences with Xcode1.5+svn are bad.
Subversion support in Xcode is a work in progress. Due to some bugs
there are still some things you have to do from the command line such
as adding directories, working with nibs, and managing your
repository. But you still might find it useful to turn it on in Xcode
so you can view SCM information about modified/updated files etc. right
in the UI.
