Ah ha! You were right! Renaming the directory did the trick... thanks
a bunch!

I think that the problem, at least for your case, is the directory
name. The colon in the "MUG 2.5:2.2.2 Merged" directory is confusing
the code that parses the error message. Try just renaming that
directory.

I did ask the question on the xcode-users mailing list, but I didn't
get any response. That's why I asked here. However, my problem
seems to be entirely different from yours. It's not that the build
results window isn't displaying anything -- it displays an entry for
when it's compiling a new source file, or "Build failed" when it
encounters some error. But it never gets into the specifics about
what the problem is, that are displayed in the build transcript.
See this screenshot:
http://homepage.mac.com/simx/.Pictures/XcodeScreenSnapz001.jpg . You
can clearly see that there are warnings in the build transcript in
AppController.m, but they aren't showing up in the Build Results
window. The two errors that are displayed for MemoryGetter.h are
actually "errors" in the code for NSString and NSStatusItem, which is
really weird because I've never had those errors be displayed
before. Those are the ONLY errors/warnings that get displayed in the
Build Results window, with an additional "Build failed" error if
there's any sort of error. But no description of the error that
usually shows up, so I can't click on the entry to jump to the error
in the code.
Searching through the build transcript is really time-consuming and
tedious. I'd really not like have to recreate the project from
scratch, but it looks like I may have to do that.

Next time, you might ask here:

of my specific projects, errors and warnings do not show up in the
Build Results window, meaning that I cannot click on the errors or
I have a similar problem where nothing in the debugger window shows
up.
After experimentation, it happens if I've ever made the window 'too
small'. The fix was to delete the .mode1 and .pbxuser files in the
project bundle.
