I think that you see the difference in behaviour between "classic" and
"native" targets. Classic targets (a legacy from ProjectBuilder) are
edited in the integrated editor in the main project window, while
native targets (native to Xcode) are edited in the project inspector /
get info panel. Select the target and hit Cmd+Alt+I (or Cmd+I) to open
this panel (also available from various menu items).
