Hi folks,
I'm writing a ground-up replacement for NSSplitView and, of course,
seized the occasion to do an IBPalette for it too - it would be
somewhat worthless otherwise, anyway.
I did make some headway for the basic stuff by looking at the
available IBPalette samples, but I need to do more complex processing,
like showing generated subviews in the instance outline view, allowing
dragging other views into my split view's subviews, and so on.
I couldn't find any complex examples nor any documentation on this. If
someone has any further information, I'll gladly do an article
consolidating everything I learned about this...
Rainer,
While I can't shed any light on this right now, I've also been working
on some complex palettes.
In moving my kiosk-type Carbon apps to Cocoa, I'm having my custom
widgets available via palettes. One such widget needs to serve as a
container, and I too have yet to find out how to allow dragging into
it.
Over the next few weeks (I'm only doing this part-time), I'll share
what I can. I definitely like the article idea and will gladly
contribute to it.
