One thing to try, if you haven't already, is to install the 10.3.9
sdk on your 10.4 development system. If you do a custom install with
the XCode installer, you will have the option of installing the
10.3.9 sdk. Then in your project, select the project, select "Get
Info", and in the "General" Tab set the "Cross-Develop Using target
SDK:" to "Mac OS 10.3.9"

An app I'm developing using Xcode's cross development, has a bug on

Now, I'd like to debug this app with Xcode, but I'm unsure of how to
go about this.
I should mention that I have only one Mac here which I like doing
software development on, a G5. The other one is a G3 running at
350mhz, no good for Xcode's slowness. The G3 however is fast enough
to run the compiled app.
I tried installing copying MacOS10.3 across, but unfortunately I
don't have the original CDs. I can't install the new Xcode onto 10.3,
only the 10.3 Xcode onto 10.3.
10.2 won't even install on the G5 as far as I can tell.
I suppose next I must buy a copy of MacOS 10.3? I guess that means
it's off to ebay for me?
Is there anyone with some good practical advice for me here that
might make my job simpler?
I'd really rather not fiddle around with message boxes and logging
stuff... It is time consuming, frustrating detective work that annoys
me. I'd have to compile on my G5, copy over to my G3, and then run it
on the G3, then look at the messageboxes and figure out what's going
wrong. Sure I can do it that way right now without buying any extra
hardware or software, but I don't like it. The fact that it takes
almost half a minute to copy over the wifi network doesn't make it
any more fun either.
