For Xcode to instantaneously notice file modifications, Apple's smbfs
should first support notifications (rdar://4146132, though it's probably a
duplicate). For some people I know, this was the #1 problem with OS X since
10.0, but apparently not everyone thinks so.

Probably same as rdar://4098517 (ER: smb: change notification for remote modifications).
