Initially, AppleScript was meant to do such things. There are only very few apps (e.g. BBEdit, Scriptable Text Editor) which allow recording of sequences, however. Your best bet would probably be to request an enhancement to get recordability in Xcode. Given the current set of other imperfections in Xcode it might not get too high on the priority list.


There's still a chance you can do it with a manually edited AppleScript. Some people have the talent to write AppleScripts easily, others don't ...
