Entirely my point, and improving this item will make things better for people using makefiles and BBEdit, or xcodebuild and BBEdit or any other tool combo.

(unless it's being replaced with the secret intel version of MrC that has been in development for five years ;).

I doubt it - but it could of course be replaced with Intels own compilers, just as IBM developed PPC tools (XL) which plugged in to XCode. Which brings up the question : Does XL suffer from same large binary/long link times ? Does XL use it's own linker or gnu ld ?
