Actually, I have no doubt that Apple's motives for the change are not what I
wrote... I'm sure they had very good reasons for N.I.H. in this case. :-)
At least with Xcode 2.1, I'm not damaging my Powerbook as much from pounding
on the keyboard because it's UI. UI-wise, it's almost as good as the last
version of ProjectBuilder. Now if only we could convince them to not waste
so much screen space by using Metal, size of gutter when displaying
breakpoints, losing the file history popup when using multiple windows,
being able to move the header for file editing windows to the bottom of the
window next to the horizontal scroller to get extra display space.
There are just so many little things that were refined in CW over the last
decade that drive me nuts when using Xcode...
