wake-on-LAN for distcc in Xcode?

I really love the Xcode parallel compiling feature, which can reduce compile time by at least a factor of 10. However, it doesn't seem to work if the participating computers fall asleep. When building with Xcode, is there anyway to get Xcode to send a wake-on-LAN packet to wake up the computers that are supposed to be connected for the purpose of parallel compiling? I have to do this manually and it is a nuisance. Or perhaps there is a more elegant way to wake up the computers, or maybe they don't actually need to be awake in the first place. Is there a trick here?

Frank
