When I look at the options Xcode presents on another Mac (DP) here
in my office, this option (and many others ) is available. Both
these Macs have Developer directories but I dont know how to ID the
month to which they belong. Also not sure if Apple is updating said
folders each month, or ad hoc.
So there may be a link between which version of the Developer
directory I have loaded, and "New Project" options - perhaps by
purpose Apple has changed said options ?? - Ive only been updating
the iBook Mac and not the DP Mac....
So how do you tell which version of the Developer directory you
have loaded on any particular Mac ?
Apple does not automatically update the Developer tools by Software
Update or any other mechanism. You need to download the newer
versions from Apple's developer web site when they are released.
To find out what version of Xcode you have, just do File/Get Info on
the Xcode.app icon in Finder.
The latest version is Xcode 2.2
