Hi all,
I have two quick, fairly simple questions regarding Xcode 2.2:
1. For some reason, every time I start a new Xcode project and name
it with a '.1' suffix (as in 'Chapter_1.1'), the program gives me a
"No launchable executable at path" error message when I attempt to
run it. This occurs regardless of the file path, as I tested in my
desired nested folder hierarchy within my ~/Documents folder as well
as on my Desktop and I get the same results. I generally use either
the C++ Tool or Cocoa Application templates. This occurs with default
preferences in Xcode as well as personalized preferences. I'm not
sure what's causing it specifically, but I can copy the code verbatim
and paste into a new project with any other suffix (like '.2') and it
builds and runs fine.
2. I'm using the All-in-One window layout which works great, but I
can't seem to get Xcode to open up new projects with a consistent
window size. It always open up its default size, requiring me to
resize it. It remembers the window state if I reopen it after saving
it (I imagine this is what "Save window state" under the General tab
in Preferences does), but I'd like to get it to consistently open new
projects the way I set them up if possible. Is it possible?
I apologize for the sheer simplicity of the questions, but I'm
obviously just starting to dig into Xcode a bit here. Any help would
be sincerely appreciated!
Cheers,
-am
