Dear All,
Apologies if this is slightly off-topic, but I see a lot of binary
packages of Subversion out there, which is the best to use?
It should be:
1. Work with Panther out of the box.
2. Have both server and client, minimum svnserve.
3. Not have too many unnecessary third-party packages i.e. if it uses
libxml2, it should use the Panther libxml2.
4. It should be built for the file-system repository ie. FSFS and not
the BDB version.
5. Relatively well-maintained i.e. recent builds.
I know you are asking about binary packages but I decided in the
confusion just to use DarwinPorts [1] to grab the latest subversion
(subversion 1.1.3) code, build it and install it. I am having a good
amount of success with that.
What is built fully supports either FSFS or BDB and has all the needed
subversion executables.
