What actually is the status of the ObjC-Java bridge? It doesn't seem
to be documented anywhere, bridget certainly isn't and hasn't been for
years. The fact that you can use NSClassFromString() on Java classes
also doesn't seem to be mentioned in the documentation.

I heard while at Macworld Expo that it's essentially legacy technology. I've never seen this stated officially, however. It wasn't my question, so I wasn't listening to all the details, but I think the DTS suggestion was to use JNI.
