Yep - I'm thinking that starting with 4 may be a good way to start, I

You'll probably get better build performance with a pair of Dual-G5's
than you would with a dozen Mini's. I have a Dual 1.42 G4 with two
RAID 0 15k Cheetah 36 on 160 LVD, and it's amazing. Then at WWDC last
year I copied my project onto a Dual 2.0 G5 and it built in about 1/3
the time as my G4, just with the default 7200 rpm 160 SATA drive it
came with. IMO, you should have an extra Gigabit PCI card in two Dual
G5's linked point-to-point with jumbo frames enabled, and two HD's in
each, striped RAID 0. Develop on one, and use the other as your
repository/build-farm. By the time you equip 6 Mini's, you'd be close
in price (assuming you have ADC hardware discounts available).
