XCode Startup Error

I am hoping someonecan help me fix the following:

I have upgraded my tired old PowerBook and used a firewire connection to transfer apps and files to my new PowerBook during the setup process on the new PowerBook.

Now when I try and start Xcode I get the following error in the console just before Xcode's startup fails: dyld: /Developer/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/MacOS/Xcode Undefined symbols: /Developer/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/MacOS/Xcode undefined reference to _PBXWizardSettingKey_XCSelection expected to be defined in DevToolsInterface

I have scrubbed the Dev tools directory and reinstalled to no avail.

Suggestions please. Perhaps I am overlooking something simple....
