While the XCode documentation is indeed a lot closer to that on the
website these days, there are still discrepancies - every now and
again I still run across some documentation only available on the
website. Most of the time this is just the PDF version of something,
which is fine - I don't need two copies of the same documentation
locally - but there is still the odd snippet of HTML that seems
overlooked.
FWIW, I entirely concur with the original poster - yes, the
documentation is usually there *somewhere*, but I seem to spend most
of my time in the documentation just trying to find things, not
actually learning much. This was made much harder with the re-
organisation a while back (for XCode 2.0, it might have been, or even
the original XCode) - prior to that the hierarchy was smaller,
simpler and more logical.
Still, overall the docs are always improving.
