While the XCode documentation is indeed a lot closer to that on the website these days, there are still discrepancies - every now and again I still run across some documentation only available on the website. Most of the time this is just the PDF version of something, which is fine - I don't need two copies of the same documentation locally - but there is still the odd snippet of HTML that seems overlooked.

PDFs are separated, largely due to size. but the local doc links to the online doc automatically now.

as for HTMl missing.. It's possible it's a bug, but it certainly isn't on purpose.. next time to you find something, drop me an email (or better, file a bug). it's the only way to correct it.

FWIW, I entirely concur with the original poster - yes, the documentation is usually there *somewhere*, but I seem to spend most of my time in the documentation just trying to find things, not actually learning much. This was made much harder with the re- organisation a while back (for XCode 2.0, it might have been, or even the original XCode) - prior to that the hierarchy was smaller, simpler and more logical.

drop some feedback, or file a bug.

Still, overall the docs are always improving.

thanks
