Thanks to Jim, Paul, and Rich for responding. We were all set to
send in the requested log file, but we had changed the source code
sufficiently in the meantime that we couldn't reproduce the
problem. :( If it comes back, we'll be sure to get the log file
before we do anything else.
Rich asked if we had many global variables, and the answer is I don't
think so. For the most part, our global data is stored in our C++
Application object, so we tend to not use many global variables.
However, we have begun having a different debugging problem in the
same source file, and I do have to wonder if it might be a different
symptom of the same underlying problem. We've started a new topic
titled "Inline functions get debugger confused about source files"
that describes the new problem in more detail. Perhaps someone with
a deeper understanding of Xcode will look at that thread and have an
insight.
