Nicholas,

I'm glad to hear that the fix worked (moving aside the Shark/CHUD preference files). But just to set the record straight - it's extremely unlikely that Xcode had anything to do with the problem. Shark and Xcode are completely separate applications.

I would be interested in taking a closer look at those com.apple.chud.* preference files. It would be great if you could send me a copy.
