You need to build with debugging symbols turned on. Make sure '-g' is being passed to the compiler. It also helps if you turn off optimization when debugging by only passing '-O0' (letter 'o' number zero) and not -Os, -O1, -O2 or -O3. Your makefile might have a debug target you can build that would pass the correct flags.

If I use the GDB command "list" I get :
No symbol table is loaded.

Anybody can help ?
