BTW, what have I done wrong?  Project-wide, I'm using Xcode 2.1<<1, gcc_select 3.3, and 10.3.9 SDK, and each target generates the warning:


    ld: warning NEXT_ROOT environment variable ignored because -syslibroot specified


Included in each distcc arg's are:


    setenv MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET 10.3

    setenv NEXT_ROOT /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.3.9.sdk


How can I fix this?



You can't.  In Xcode 2.2 the compiler and linker are not synced up as to the use of NEXT_ROOT and -isyslibroot, so the you more or less have to pass both, and as you can see the linker generates a warning.  This will be fixed in the next update.  I know that people prefer warning-free builds, but we don't have a way to avoid this warning for now.  It is otherwise harmless.
