This point of view might not be the result of detailed knowledge but
it's how I've experienced it several times. Your only chance to get
around this is probably to make the upgrade experience as smoothly as
possible.
Where there is a will, there is a way...
If I'd go to a friend each time I'm asked to do a 30 MB+ (more than
one hour on a modem or ISDN) download, I'd have to participate in the
rental fees there.
