Interesting. Each Xcode release seems to be a little bit faster than the last for me, subjectively speaking (of course, I'd still like it if it could be faster!). I had problems with previous releases not keeping up with my typing but it's fine in 2.1. The only remaining problem area for me is that saving large files invariably results in a beachball.
