Xcode is an IDE, not a programming language and not a development framework. So, the answer is a "no": Xcode it's self doesn't do garbage collection (GC) for you.


There are languages and frameworks which do GC and you can code them using Xcode, however.


That said, you might want to give mere mortals like me a hint where you got this information from. In which language/framework combination is it supposed to work? Is it a feature of the newly released Xcode 2.2 (still NDA'd)?
