Having options for every possible customisation is so ... Windows. Surely it doesn't fit in the Mac experience.

In this case, I'd say a few more options would be better (although the options must be organized well).


1. This is a _developer_ application, not a consumer application.

2. The availability for options here allows for better readability of code.

3. As a possibility, there could be two "modes" for setting colors: basic and advanced. (In which case, I'd say have a bunch more options in the "advanced" mode, not just "a few" as stated in #1.)
