In any case, currently there is no public documentation on the Xcode project file format.

Okay, enough. :-)

I'm filling bugs for this and other related lacks. What do you recommend, one bug for feature or including related features in the same report?

The rule of thumb is to file multiple specific bugs instead of a single general vague bug. In addition to the bugs, sending a message to email@hidden that pull together the individual bugs into a larger feature request is a good way to go.

My main needs/wishes are the following ones; maybe others would also like to see them, so I'll post them to the list before going Radar:

* Documentation of the .xcodeproj bundles and their contents.
* Documentation of the .xcspec format.
* Documentation of the .xctxtmacro format.
* Documentation of the .trgttmpl format.
* Documentation of the .pbfiletemplate bundles and their various TemplateInfo.plist file formats.
* Documentation and opening of the Xcode plug-in API (.xcplugin and family).
* If the above item doesn't cover it, opening the debugger API for connecting other debuggers.
* Possibility of extending the supported file formats and their syntax colouring (maybe made possible by the plug-in API).
* Support for integrating other languages with the class browser (maybe made possible by the plug-in API, I want Ruby class and documentation browsing now :-P).
* The ability to browse custom local documentation in the same window as the rest of the ADC docs.

I think we have bugs for all these issues, but feel free to file your own, we do look at duplicates.

Cheers,

David.
