The .mode1 file contains layout information for the project (like window positions and sizes, including sizes of sub-views and the like).

I would like to maybe put one of these under source control since I want to remember the source control settings for the project (this used to be in preferences under XCode 1.1), but I don't want to waste space revision controlling useless information like window positions and sizes.
