Silly question about Interface Builder

I am trying to put together a Cocoa Application with X-Code. I want to be able to subclass NSSWindow. Following the steps in Creating a Class in Interface Builder Help, I can create a subclass, myWindow. I can add actions and outlets to myWindow. But when I try to instantiate myWindow, the "Instantiate MyWindow" menu option is grayed out. What's up?
