1. It's free.

Things not working perfectly all the time is a fact of life. Deal.
I can build in in 10.2.x or 10.3.x with gcc3.3 nut in 10.4 it wont
build regardless of the gcc that is selected.
Knowing that the OS is new and the changes made, it would have been
nice if Apple in their infinite wisdom had left a usable gcc3.3 (even
renaming to 3.3-old) that would allow these projects to continue to
build.
I've made it work for the most part by replacing the gcc3.3
dependancy files with those from 10.3.9 and if I could rename this to
3.3-old and then reinstall the Dev tools I can continue to build
these projects by "gcc_select 3.3-old" while I wait for the rest of
the world to get caught up.

You are implying I must now learn extensive programming syntax for C,
C++ and other languages just to get projects to build in 10.4 despite
the gcc version being used.
