Why are you checking in your intermediates folder (build folder) into
CVS? That's really not a good idea.

Still no luck, checking out the project again doesn't help. I

Is anyone out there using XCode 2.0 and OCVS successfully? Anyone
seeing this same error. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong,
or what, but any help would be much appreciated.

Hi all,
I am trying to get a project that I was developing under XCode
1.51 using cvs to commit changes properly with XCode 2.0 and
ocvs. When choosing "Commit Entire Project" I get the Following
error:
"ocvs commit: in directory build/<project>.build/
<project>.pbxindex/strings.pbxstrings:
ocvs [commit aborted]: there is no version here; do 'ocvs
checkout' first"
Does anyone know what I've screwed up, and how I might fix this
situation. I've already tried checking the project out again
using ocvs, to no avail.
A shot in the dark: is the directory from which you are committing
set up properly; ISTR that one had to 'check out' into the
directory before you could commit from it. This is through a
glass darkly, though (cf 'shot', op cit).
Regards,
Justin
