If you were not aware, there was a really good SCC plug-in that ran with CodeWarrior. The folks at UnisoftwarePlus had done a really nice job with their 'VooDoo' SCC product. As I understand, the ProjectBuilder folks at Apple would not provide hooks into the IDE to allow VooDoo to work. Thus, as CodeWarrior has wilted in the face of Apple tools, so too has VooDoo.
When you filed that bug the only SCM system we supported was CVS. We have since added Perforce and Subversion. There was a preexisting request to open up the SCM plug-in API for third parties, and that is still planned for a future release. Your bug was closed as a duplicate of that preexisting bug.
We don't see enough market usage of VooDoo as we do for Perforce and Subversion, so it's not on our list of plugins to support ourselves. When we release a plugin API there should be little impediment to UnisoftwarePlus supporting it (except that VooDoo's "cubic" model is pretty substantially different from the other three).
I seriously doubt whether lack of Xcode integration is a cause of VooDoo's low market share. They pre-dated Xcode by many years, and they ship only for Mac OS, while the other three are well-supported on Windows and UNIX as well. Thank you for hearing me. Things, as they are, are not likely to get better if there is not a perceived need. One last homily, "The only thing that goes with the flow... is a dead fish." We do perceive the need for open plug-in APIs for Xcode, on all fronts (compilers, editors, SCM systems) and do plan to address it in the future.
