We currently use CVS as our code repository. I use WinCVS as the
client of choice on Windows. On OS X I interact with CVS using the
Terminal window. I use MacCvsX sparingly because it can break, but it
does most of the unusual things I have to do. I used CVL for a little
bit but thought that it was way more hassle than just using a command
line for most of the usual things I have to do. I have used Perforce
in the past, sparingly, at client's digs, but never got to really
know it. We tried to turn on SCM in XCode a while ago and turned it
off right away. I've been looking at XCode 2 features as time permits.
We're looking forward to switching to a viable code repository
package like a BitKeeper or Arch. We think that Subversion is an
excellent incremental revision of CVS that doesn't take us where we
want to go.
Considering that Apple Computer has to pick their battles very
carefully, I think they're doing an excellent job overall. I can
still use XCode with a certain constant degree of irritation.
