I think you need to change the key-bindings in Xcode. Preferences-
>Key Bindings->Text Key Bindings.
Notice that they delete key is bound to Indent Friendly Delete
Backward. Re-bind it to Delete Backward.

hm. I would _like xcode to delete spaces as if they were tabs
(sometimes)... but it doesn't seem to do this.
I think we need to trade preference files or something. :-D
Any solutions out there?
