You're missing the new "feature" that code completion won't
automatically
pop up a list of completions.
You can adjust this setting the Xcode's preferences. The behaviour
is a bit weird sometimes though... auto-popup seems to work only if
you haven't started typing the name, e.g. you type "[NSString "...
I've also had some weird issues where code completion will
automatically complete something spontaneously - while I'm in the
middle of typing [rapidly] the name.
My autocomplete doesn't work at all unless it's my own classes and
methods. None of the Appkit or cocoa classes will autocomplete. No
popup, no nothing. Have to specifically ask for it. Which is a bit of
a drag for someone so used to the feature that worked pretty well if
slow in earlier xcode versions. This is weird. I'm sure what I'm
getting is not what is supposed to happen - I'll type NSStr assuming
I'll get a complete to tab through but all that happens is what I've
typed is underlined?
Preferences indicate that popup should work, and insert relevant
templated parameters. Again, I've got everything enabled...
While I'm here: Thanks also, as other people have already said,
for the better SCM functionality - it's good to finally get rapid
feedback on the modified status of files and so forth. All in all,
good work to the Xcode 2.0 team. :)
Agreed. SCM and Subversion are beautifully transparent. Very pleased.
Everything seems great with new features, except this code incomplete
issue...
