I thought that at first as well. But on reflection, I realized that the "value" is changeable. It is just that what you expect to be changed is different. Before, when you selected a different item from the popup button, you changed both the active build style as well as the list of settings (for that build style) shown in the info window. Now, by changing the selection of the popup, you are just changing which settings are displayed in the info window.
