Theodore,

A lot of fixes for renaming files and other UI and compiler
enhancements/fixes were made available in Xcode 1.5, which is a free
download off of connect.apple.com.  I recommend you upgrade from Xcode 1.1
to 1.5 and try things again, since a *lot* of issues in 1.1 were fixed by
the time 1.5 came out.  You'll save yourself a lot of trouble over time.
