Compile error locations to appear in one of the project panes?

When I click on a compile error, I'd like the location of the error to
appear in the main source editor in source editor which is embedded in
the project pane.
Xcode 1.1 used to do this for me. But Xcode 1.5 does not. If I
double-click on the error, it opens it up in a new window.
I find it much simpler to have everything in one pane, what with
billions of windows flying around it's much easier to keep the number
cut down. So opening up the file in a new window doesn't help.
