Here's a trick to help someone in the same position.
For each controller, switch the mode from entity to class,
the keys that are used for each controller is listed, change
the name of the key and if any UI objects are bound to it, it IB will
ask to
change the bindings in the UI too - don't forget to change back to
entity mode,
then in the data model just change the attributes names the same you did
in the bindings inspector for controller keys.
Its a little error prone, but I cant imagine the work it would take
without
bindings... thanks to all in Apple who added this stuff.
It would nice if IB detected changes in the Xcode when model keys
change though...
