xcPROJECTNAMExc_Prefix.pch

I was just looking at a new Core Data application I created and noticed a file called xcPROJECTNAMExc_Prefix.pch in the project directory. The file isn't included in the project, and isn't referenced by it in any way. I did a little digging in /Library/ Application Support/Apple/Developer Tools/Project Templates/ Application/ and found the file in the following directories.

    Core Data Application/
    Core Data Document-based Application/
Core Data Document-based Application with Spotlight Importer/

Inside of the .xcodeproj package in each of those directories, there is no mention of the file in either project.pbxproj or TemplateInfo.plist.

Does anyone have any insight into what this file is? Is it just there due to some bug in the Xcode packaging process? Is there any reason to keep it around?

-Prachi
