I am new to XCode. Have been coding in C++ with CodeWarrior ever since
Apple switched to PPC. The first thing put me in panic mode when I
first tried XCode is it doesn't colorize symbols in my source code
like CW does.
By symbols I mean the names of my classes, types, globals, and
defines. Is it possible to setup XCode to do that? If not, is there a
plan to add that in future version?
Cool down, symbol coloring is on by default for several source types.
Please take a look into the Menu Command Format -> Syntax Coloring.
The color can be even customized in the preferences (Fonts & Colors)-
but it is not that customizable than in CW.
It does auto-completion, so it definitely knows about all the symbols.
Just color them, please?
After using some Valium to relief anxiety you may take a closer look at
the symbols list and further explore Xcode.
Regards
Andreas
