Check on the Xcode Hints on the CarbonDev.com wiki.  I've placed a summary about project templates there.

Just visited this site, and noticed these "funny" characters in the examples:

<x-tad-smaller>«FILENAME»</x-tad-smaller>

I guess, this is just an encoding problem. If I remember right, the encoding for file templates **shall** be utf-8. If you ensure the editor is actually using this encoding, the "funny" chars become more reasonable: "«" and "»"

But please check, its some time ago after reading this note - and i don't remember where i stumbled over it.

And, of course you should explicitly mention this requirement when creating templates - so that the user switches to the correct encoding in his editor. And when opening an existing file, the user needs to "re-interpret" the text with utf-8, and must not re-format it, of course.

Thanks

Andreas
