As this is Apple's development tools list, any questions not related to the tools themselves, are probably better off somewhere else.
I see that you're not using Cocoa in your code, but as you state that your intentions are to use it later (hopefully sooner rather than later!), I think that Cocoa-Dev would be the right list for you:
