The pbhelpindexer script is reporting that it can't find the *.pbHelpIndexerList, so it seems that the doc installation didn't complete properly. I'd suggest going to:

    http://connect.apple.com

...and downloading the August documentation update by hand and reinstalling. You won't need to run pbhelpindexer after installing-- the indexes are part of the download.

Please file a bug with the particulars so we can track the issue.

Thanks,
- Matt

The Xcode help API search no longer works.

I downloaded an update from Apple and installed it. The install completed.

Xcode then said to me "Refreshing the data" or something like that. Then Xcode crashed before doing anything else.

Now when I search for keywords, I get 0 results no matter what I search for.

Is this because Xcode crashed during some kind of reload? How do I fix this??

Try "sudo /Developer/Tools/pbhelpindexer".

    -- F

No luck. I tried using the -d option to help me understand why. It says this:

Searching /Developer/ADC Reference Library/indexes for *.pbHelpIndexerList
No file of type .pbHelpIndexerList found--using default list of documentation locations.
/Developer/Tools/pbhelpindexer: Indexing reference documentation in these locations:
/Developer/ADC Reference Library
/System/Library/Frameworks

I still get 0 results.
