For C++ files, the header file has the extension .h. However, I would
like to choose from either hpp, hp or h, and occasionally i would
like to have a different name/location as well. As I can see, this
is not possible at the moment, thus would probably be a feature
request.
To make Xcode even more complex? Additional dialogs, dependency
checking, build rules, ...
Oh, i think this is not required - nor does this cause any of the
mentioned effects. Just an additional edit field where we can edit the
header file name would be enough.
Recently you talked about Xcode being so slow, IIRC.
This has nothing to do with new features - especially this one.
Actually, such an option would make certain use cases faster:
When i would like to have an extension ".hpp", i could just choose it -
or type it in. Currently, i have to create a header with extension
".h", and then have to manually rename it (in the Groups and Files
View, for instance).
For the compiler (performance wise) it is completely irrelevant which
names you use.
